IKARUS S/MIME users can now manually upload public keys via the menu option S/MIME > Public Keys in the IKARUS Portal. This makes secure, encrypted email communication even more flexible.
The public keys uploaded to the IKARUS Portal are automatically available for encrypted sending, making it easier to securely exchange sensitive information – for example, during initial contact, when using internal certificates, or if public availability is lacking.
TLS encryption (at least version 1.2) can now be enforced not only for entire routes but also specifically at the domain level across your organization. To activate this feature, add the desired domain under mail.security > Settings > Enforce TLS.
This provides greater granularity and control, prevents insecure fallback routes, and supports modern security standards and increased data protection requirements.
For each mailbox in an inbound route, a default interval for sending spam advice of blocked emails can now be defined. Under Inbound > Mailbox > Default Settings, you can use a dropdown menu to choose how often reports should be sent by default: twice daily, daily, weekly, or never.
The selected default value automatically applies to all mailboxes set to “Default” as well as to any newly added mailboxes. The delivery interval can be adjusted manually for each mailbox at any time. Additionally, the interface supports multi-select, allowing multiple mailboxes to be configured simultaneously.
