Minimum standard TLS 1.2 for all routes with TLS
TLS 1.2 has been defined as the minimum standard for all routes. For TLS versions below this, an error message is displayed, and e-mails cannot be sent or received.
TLS-optional routes remain unaffected by the change: TLS remains optional here.
Change TLS settings for existing routes
In the IKARUS portal under mail.security > Inboud / Outbound, adjustments can be made for each route.
The use of TLS on inbound routes to the IKARUS mail server can be changed using the “Force TLS inbound” checkbox.
The use of TLS on incoming and outgoing routes from the IKARUS mail server to the target server (own server or the addressee’s mail server) can be controlled by selecting the destination protocol.
