IKARUS partner training and a farewell to Christoph Barszczewski

Education, training, product presentations, industry knowledge and, last but not least, a reason to celebrate were on the agenda of the IKARUS partner training with it professionals from all over Austria.

In addition to in-house developments such as the IKARUS threat.intelligence.platform or IKARUS mail.security with ATP and S/MIME, the partners had the opportunity to learn about partner technologies such as the OT security Sensor Guardian by Nozomi Networks or UTM firewalls by Securepoint. With Harmony Mobile by Check Point, a “newcomer” to the portfolio was also presented, which integrates ideally into IKARUS mobile.management and extends mobile security from the end devices into the network.

The current roadmap also includes a personal point, which was the reason for celebrating the evening with the partners and customers at the Kaiser Wiesn. Christoph Barszczewski, who built up the partner network 30 years ago and has looked after it with a great deal of knowledge, commitment, and wit ever since, will retire at the end of 2023.

One of his mottos – “Let’s do something before we get old” – has been 100% adhered to by Christoph from day to day, helping many partners and clients to successfully plan and implement their projects. So it is not only the IKARUS team that finds it hard to say goodbye!

To ease the transition to a new contact person, one Christoph is followed by another: Christoph Ehardt, who has already been working with IKARUS for seven years, the last two years of which in IKARUS’ team, is the new contact person for the partner network as of 1.1.2024. He also specialises in the field of mobile security, making him the best advisor for the optimal integration of mobile devices into the overall security strategy.
